How to Make Quick and Easy Homemade Bagel Pizza Bites

Start by making the pizza sauce. This is really easy. You start with a 15-ounce can of tomato sauce and a 6-ounce can of tomato paste.

Pour the cans into a large bowl and add seasonings (see the recipe below). Stir well and let sit for about 20 minutes.

While the seasonings are melding in the sauce, rinse fresh bell peppers and gather an onion.

Dice them into nice bite-sized pieces.

Bowls of diced onion, diced green bell peppers, and diced red bell peppers.

Take a mini bagel and halve it. Spoon sauce on top of the bagel halves, sprinkle some mozzarella or your favorite cheese, and then add your toppings. (My son is a veggie-lover, so in addition to the onion and bell peppers, we add sliced olives and mushrooms).

Two bagel halves topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and veggies.

Bake at 425 degrees for 9-11 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for about 5 minutes before enjoying.

Easy peasy, right?

Recipe Notes

Make these with your favorite toppings. Feel free to add pepperoni slices (mini pepperoni is a fun option), fresh basil, sliced cherry tomatoes, banana pepper rings – whatever it is that you like on a regular-sized pizza.
