Perfect for stir-fries, marinades, and more, this homemade teriyaki sauce will elevate any dish to gourmet status!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1/4 up water
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice wine, honey, ginger, sesame oil, and garlic.
  2. Whisk the mixture well and microwave for 1 minute. Stir, then microwave for an additional 1 minute.
  3. Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to the bowl. Whisk until well combined. Microwave for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  4. Use the sauce immediately or let it cool before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
